If you're struggling to fall asleep because of insomnia, this simple 15 minute guided meditation practice uses visualization to help you relax and get to a peaceful and serene state to help you get to sleep. We start the meditation practice visualizing our body and muscles becoming lighter and more relaxed. We then move to noticing the rhythm of the breath, allowing it to get us to a state where thoughts and worries won't keep us up at night. If you're suffering from clinical insomnia, do not use this practice as treatment. Instead, use it to supplement any treatment prescribed by a doctor. Insomnia is usually a symptom to an underlying issue. Be sure to seek the help of a medical professional before starting any meditative practice.
