When we’re practicing a guided meditation, there are many things that can arise in awareness. We, the subject, will often shift our attention to each thing that arises: thoughts, feelings, body sensations, and moods. With self-inquiry however, we can turn our attention to what is doing the observing. Turning attention and awareness on itself. In this guided meditation for self-inquiry, you’ll be invited to explore the true nature of consciousness. You may think it is “I” or “me” who is observing the contents of consciousness. But through this self-inquiry meditation, we will attempt to look for this “I” or “me” and see what we find. This practice is recommended for experienced practitioners and is considered an advanced guided meditation practice.
